Throughout the year, our Neighbourhood Teams run regular Estate Walkabouts and Community Impact / Clean Up Days, to get out into our communities to speak to tenants and residents about issues and concerns.
We sometimes team up with our community partners, such as the Police, Local Authority, and Councillors, and we love it when out customers come along and join in.
Estate Inspections are an opportunity to give residents the chance to work alongside Housing and Maintenance Officers to highlight issues in the local area. Residents, officers and local partners walk the estate together, looking out for anything that make the estate look untidy/unsafe and make a note of it. An action plan will then be created by residents and officers, determining what actions need to taken to solve the problems.
On our Community Impact / Clean Up Days, we are also joined by teams from across Torus*:
And we often provide skips in the community which are free for residents to use, to dispose of their waste responsibly.
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) Awareness Days take place in communities known to have higher levels of ASB, Torus Safer Estates Teams joins partners from Community Safety Partnership and the Local Authority, Councillors, Police, Fire Service, and colleagues from other housing providers to engage with residents and business to promote being a good neighbour, identify any concerns and providing advice on how to report ASB, and what support is available.
*attendance varies at each event
Everyone is welcome to attend, so why not come along and join in and have your say!
