Swift legal action helps protect Orford community

26 February 2026

Torus acted quickly after a serious incident in Orford, Warrington, earlier this year. Thanks to the quick work of our teams and in close partnership with local authorities, we successfully secured an injunction to help protect the community.

The court injunction places strict conditions on the individual involved. This includes an exclusion zone and a Power of Arrest, ensuring that any breach can be dealt with immediately by the police. These measures are designed to prevent further disruption, protect residents, and maintain safety around the streets of Orford.

This outcome reflects our continued commitment to taking decisive action where needed and working closely with partners to keep our neighbourhoods safe, secure, and supportive places to live.

We want to thank those residents who had the courage to report this to us, who supported us with our court application and to colleagues and partners for their swift response and ongoing dedication to resident wellbeing.

Report anti-social behaviour in your community

Legal action is always a last resort. It is not a decision we take lightly. But where necessary, we will take action against those causing anti-social behaviour (ASB) in our communities.

If you are feeling unsafe in your own home, please tell us. To learn more about ASB, and to report ASB, visit torus.co.uk/asb
