Torus Titans continue to support local charity

02 August 2024

Once again, colleagues from across the Torus Group have come together to raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice as part of their annual Dragon Boat Race.

This year, the weather was on their side as the Torus Titans took on 12 other teams to compete in a Dragon Boat Race on the River Mersey in Warrington.

The Torus Titans raised £2,250 to help make sure that the essential work St Rocco’s does to support people with life-limiting conditions, both at home and at their Warrington-based hospice, can continue.

Nina Walsh, Torus Titan Captain and Development Project Manager at Torus Developments said:

“Thank you to all the colleagues from across the Torus Group who took part in the event – from organising to participating. A huge congratulations to all our amazing Torus Titans for smashing our fundraising target for St Rocco’s Hospice! We had a fantastic day and look forward to next year.”

St Rocco’s Hospice’s Dragon Boat Race is just one of many events making up the One Torus Social Committee’s calendar. With the purpose of organising events and activities that bring colleagues together, One Torus Social Committee aim to enhance the overall wellbeing of our colleagues, promote effective collaboration, and build a platform from which a culture of consistent high performance will be established.

Visit St Rocco’s website to make a much-needed donation to St Rocco’s Hospice on behalf of our racers.
