Could you, or someone you know, be missing out on Pension Credit?

There are an estimated 1 million pensioner households not claiming Pension Credit – don’t be one of them.

If you are over State Pension age, Pension Credit could give you a bit of extra money in your pocket.

You can still claim Pension Credit if you have savings, you are working, or you have been turned down in the past. have modest savings, on a retirement income or own your own home.

By claiming you could get:

  • Additional Cost of Living Payments
  • Help with heating costs inc. Cold Weather Payments
  • Help with rent and Council Tax
  • A free TV licence for those aged 75 or over
  • Help with the cost of NHS services, such as NHS dental treatment, glasses and transport costs for hospital appointment.

You could be eligible for Pension Credit if your weekly income is below £218.15 or, if you have a partner who lives with you, £332.95. If your income is higher, you might still be eligible for Pension Credit if you have a disability, you care for someone, you have savings or you have housing costs.
