Staying Home Service

As we get older, we often need a little more help. That's where the Staying Home Service comes in.

If you think we might be able to help you or someone you know, get in touch.

“It has restored my faith, Torus is not just a landlord, they are people who are there to help. I am now feeling a lot better and less stressed”

Mr S, 58, Staying Home Service tenant (St Helens)

Staying home - happy, healthy and independent at home with our assistance

Staying Home is a service, tailored to individual needs, that helps our older customers living in bungalows and flats in St Helens and Warrington to live independently for as long as possible in their own home.

Most of us want to live independently for as long as possible. But as we get older, we may need a little extra help.

The Staying Home Team offer advice and assistance to help you remain at home safely for longer. They can help arrange property adaptations if you need them, help you save money on fuel bills and check you're claiming any benefits you're entitled to.

How we can help

You can also communicate with Torus, 365 days a year, through a service called OKEachDay. Simply press a button on your OKEachDay device before a pre-arranged time every day, to let the team know all is OK at your home. Local updates, community safety concerns, important information, and news about local events are also communicated through this service.

Your dedicated Staying Home Officer will visit you in your home every six months, to carry out a review of your housing needs. Between these visits, if you have concerns, you can also contact the Staying Home Team directly via their dedicated duty line for our Staying Home customers.
