What is anti-social behaviour?

Anti-social behaviour takes many forms, can affect your quality of life and is something we take very seriously.

Behaviour we consider anti-social includes:

  • Rowdy behaviour and noise
  • Verbal abuse/harassment, intimidation and threatening behaviour
  • Criminal behaviour
  • Unsocial parking of cars and vehicles
  • Young people misbehaving
  • Hate related incidents about age, colour, race, sexuality, ethnicity, disability, faith and nationality
  • Drug abuse or dealing, alcohol related abuse nor misuse
  • Physical violence or threats of violence
  • Domestic abuse
  • Fly tipping, litter and rubbish
  • Pets and animal nuisance
  • Taking, dealing or buying illegal drugs
  • Any other form of intimidation not mentioned above

If someone’s behaviour is affecting you, your home or your neighbourhood, we expect you to try and reach an amicable solution with that person first. Often a calm and reasonable chat will sort things out without us needing to get involved.

If you’ve tried discussing the problem and things don’t get any better you can report the issue to us using this form.

In an emergency always call the police on 999.
