Moving out
If your circumstances change and you're ready to move on, there are a few things you'll need to do first to end your tenancy.
- PHONE: You can contact the Torus Customer Hub on: 0800 678 1894 to speak to an advisor. An advisor will complete the Notice form with you over the telephone. The notice period will start from the Sunday following the date that the form is completed.
- EMAIL: Please download and print the Tenancy End Form (pdf) . Please note the form cannot be completed digitally - complete the form in full making sure the form is signed, dated and includes an up to date phone number. and return to us:
- Central, 4 Corporation Street, St Helens, WA9 1LD (Monday to Friday, 9am-12.30pm)
- Bank Park House, Kendrick Street, Warrington, WA1 1UZ (Monday to Friday, 9am-12.30pm)
- The Observatory, 1 Old Haymarket, Liverpool City Centre, L1 6RA (Monday to Friday, 8.30am-12.30pm)
- Call: 0800 678 1894
- Email: info@torus.co.uk
- Return all keys including fobs to communal areas and bin locker keys on the day you move out (clearly labelled)
- Pay your rent until the end of your tenancy
- Empty all your belongings from the home
- Make sure it’s clean and tidy, including the garden
- Let us in to inspect the property before you leave
- Tell your gas and electricity suppliers you’re leaving and give them your meter readings

Notice to end your tenancy
Thanks for living in one of our homes, we’ll be sorry to see you go. There are few things you need to do before you leave.
If you wish to provide notice that you intend to end your Torus tenancy please follow the following guidance and instructions - you can do it over the phone or by emailing a form:
If you reside in Liverpool the form should be emailed or scanned to LMHHOT@torus.co.uk
If you reside in St Helens or Warrington the form should be e mailed or scanned to voidshomefinder@torus.co.uk
Or visit your local Torus office to complete in person:
PLEASE NOTE BY PROVIDING YOUR NOTICE THIS IS NOT ENDING YOUR TENANCY. ONCE YOU HAVE VACATED THE PROPERTY YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE TENANCY END FORM. PLEASE REFER TO ‘TENANCY END FORM’.

Your Housing Officer will make contact with you within 48-hours to make arrangements to visit you to inspect your home and discuss the reasons for leaving. If we find damage to your home when we inspect it, you will be charged for any repairs
Ending your tenancy after notice has been provided
If you have already given notice please call into your nearest Torus office to complete a Tenancy End Form. This form will be completed with a member of the customer service team at reception.

If the reason for ending a tenancy is sadly due to a death please note the death certificate is required before we can end the tenancy.

Please be aware that until a Tenancy End form is completed and returned you will be held responsible for the rent and security of the property.
Are you sure we can’t persuade you to stay?
If your needs have changed or if you want to move to a different area, we may be able to help.
Please note all Torus tenancies end on a Sunday and keys are expected the day after the notice period ends. If you fail to attend a Torus office with your tenancy end form and keys on the date that you have agreed your tenancy will not end and will continue. If you wish to extend your notice period please contact Torus via the contact centre or visit one of our offices. You will be charged rent during your notice period until you formally end the tenancy.
